Sunscreen/block/lotion the deadly debate

Well after much research on www.skindeep.com and www.ewg.org I tossed all our old sunscreen and am on a new journey to find a safe sunscreen for the kids and myself.
My first attempt was J&J daily lotion for babies w/an SPF of 40 for Emma and Banana Boat Kids or Blue Lizard for Liam and myself. After checking them out I realized these were better than your average Copertone but I wanted something even safer, because I am neurotic about certain things :)

Another Day at the Beach!

Today was a beach day, well not your typical lay in the sun frolic in the water kind but it was indeed a GREAT beach day. We headed to Ipswich Ma to Crane beach since it is 1/2 off parking during the off season. The kids brought their pails, shovels and sea shell searching eyes. It was a munch needed bout of salt air and no "nos" after yesterdays trials of getting Liam to nap after almost 2 hours of climbing in and out of the crib, and a boisterous afternoon of time outs.
Emma was a champ during her first beach outing and even made a little sun starfish :)

Ipswich is a great beach that reminded me of Nantucket with the marsh, not sure if it is worth the 14 parking fee during the summer but it was a well spent mid morning playdate.

Milestones in May!

Emma has found her feet and they have made it into her mouth! How funny she is to watch. You get her undressed and she is all smiles and grabs her two little feet and up and in they go, as she gurgles and coos!! Oh how do I love that little sweet girl!
